Do you love yourself? What a loaded question! What does it even mean? Yet, it’s an important question to reflect on because the answer can shape your reality. When you look inward and create self-love, you validate your experience without looking to outside sources. When we look for validation outside ourselves, we fall into vicious cycles of “not enough.” Nothing will ever be enough. Once we learn that we can give ourselves the love we deserve, we will attract abundance and believe without a doubt that we will have the life we want. We MUST love ourselves to receive what we deserve and desire.
Loving yourself is more than outward expressions of beauty or personality traits. Loving yourself is a deep bond that you create with the inner you – the REAL you. Loving yourself can include:
- Maintaining your health
- Trusting your intuition aka “gut instinct”
- Following through with your goals
- Honoring boundaries that support your growth and healing
- Being kind and extending grace to yourself
- Limiting negative self-talk
That’s just a partial list of what loving yourself could look like. Being in a relationship with yourself that honors your needs allows you to be in healthy relationships with others because the loving energy you create naturally flows outward. You will project that same love and kindness onto others.
After hearing this, do you believe that you love yourself? Do you need to focus on an area of self-love and grow a bit? That’s great news! All you need is a plan and to take action to build yourself up from within.
